Who we are

This website is operated by Dujam Mario Tudor, Split / Hvar, Croatia — the host of Apartments Split Hvar and the data controller for the personal data described below. Privacy requests can be sent to apartmentssplithvar@gmail.com.

What data we collect and why

• Inquiry data — when you send a booking inquiry or a message, we store your name, email address, chosen dates and message so we can reply and manage your reservation. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Guest registration data — if you stay with us, Croatian law requires us to register guests with the national eVisitor system. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• Anonymous usage statistics— we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service that does not identify individual visitors. We also count anonymous photo/video views and completed calendar selections, including the country code supplied by our hosting provider, to understand where guests lose interest. We do not store the visitor's IP address in these statistics.
• Google Analytics — only after you consent, Google Analytics uses cookies and device information to measure visits, traffic sources and how guests use the website. Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

Cookies

Google Analytics cookies are disabled by default and are set only if you select Accept analytics. We do not enable advertising storage or personalized advertising. You can withdraw your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. If you choose a language with the translation selector, Google Translate sets a functional cookie (googtrans) that remembers your choice and its translation service is then loaded. A session cookie is used only for the site administrator's login.

How long we keep data

Inquiries are kept for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and no legal reason requires continued storage. The host reviews and deletes expired inquiries from the administration area. Reservation, guest-registration and invoicing records are kept for the periods required by Croatian law.

Who we share data with

We use the following categories of service providers: Vercel (website hosting and analytics), Neon (database hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Google Analytics (only after consent). We share only the data necessary for the relevant service and never sell personal data or use inquiry details for unrelated marketing.

Some service providers may process data outside the EEA under an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards.

Is the information required?

Your name, email address, selected apartment, dates and guest count are required so we can assess a booking inquiry. If they are not provided, we cannot process or confirm the requested stay. Optional message details should not include sensitive personal information. We do not use inquiry data for solely automated decisions or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Your rights

Depending on the processing, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send a request to apartmentssplithvar@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), including through its official website at azop.hr.
